Step-by-step: own a professional enterprise email for free

tip

Just starting out in foreign trade, or your team is still small, and you want a professional enterprise email without the cost? Don't worry — we found an excellent free tool: Lark (Feishu international).

It offers a free enterprise email plus some basic customer management — a great fit for SOHO and small-to-medium foreign trade teams. Follow this guide and we'll walk you through every setting — team communication and email handling become simple and efficient.

The most attractive part is the generous free perks for small and mid-sized teams:

  • 100GB storage: Tons of emails and attachments — store as much as you want, never run out.
  • 450 outbound emails per day: More than enough for daily customer communication.
  • 20 shared mailboxes: Easily set up team mailboxes like info@ and sales@ — collaboration is a breeze.

1. Prep before you start

Before we officially begin, you only need two things — super simple.

1. Get your own domain

To make your enterprise email look more professional (e.g. susan@yourcompany.com), you need to own a domain first.

  • 💡 Where to buy? We recommend Cloudflare or Aliyun — their backends are easy to operate, making the later steps smoother.

2. Set up your network environment

⚠️ Critical step During signup and setup, you need to enable a global network proxy — otherwise you may hit signup or access errors.

FAQ

  • ❓ Why does signup say "Your region is not supported yet"?

    • Answer: That's because you haven't enabled the global network proxy. Go back to Step 1, check your network setup, and try again.
  • ❓ What is the "app password" and why do I need it?

    • Answer: The app password is for security. It lets you sign in to your mailbox in third-party software (e.g. Foxmail) without exposing your real Lark login password. Even if it leaks, your Lark account itself stays safe.
  • ❓ Is Lark enterprise email really fully free? Any limits?

    • Answer: Yes — for small and mid-sized teams, the free tier is plenty. The current free tier offers 100GB storage, 450 emails per day, and 20 shared mailboxes — fully sufficient for daily use.

Learning recommendations

  • ✅ Read first, then act: This guide has many steps — we recommend reading it through first to get an overview, then following step by step.
  • 🎯 Make use of public mailboxes: If you have shared inquiry mailboxes like info@ or sales@, use the Public Mailbox feature — team collaboration becomes much easier.
  • 💡 Enable email tracking: After binding the mailbox, try turning on email tracking for important emails. You'll know whether the customer opened your email — very helpful for follow-up.
