263 Enterprise Mail · Complete Setup Guide
263 Enterprise Mail is a long-established Chinese enterprise mailbox provider with many overseas server nodes — friendly for international email send/receive. Binding it to Laifaxin requires 2 steps:
| Step | Content | Required |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Enable the Client Authorization Code feature | Off by default; enable it manually in Account Security | Yes |
| 2. Create a new authorization code | Generate a dedicated code for Laifaxin | Yes |
→ When binding, fill the password field with the Client Authorization Code (not your 263 mail login password).
For security, 263 Enterprise Mail does not allow third-party client login by default. So setup splits into two parts:
- First, in the web UI under Account Security, enable the Client Authorization Code feature (one-time)
- Then create a specific code
→ Skip step 1 and the "Create" button won't appear.
1. Server Parameters
| Protocol | Use | Server | SSL Port |
|---|---|---|---|
| IMAP | Receive | imap.263.net | 993 |
| SMTP | Send | smtp.263.net | 465 |
Encryption: SSL / TLS
2. Get the Client Authorization Code
2.1 Open "Account Security" Settings
Log in to 263 Enterprise Mail web → click your avatar in the top-right → choose Settings from the dropdown → select Account Security on the left:

2.2 Enable the Client Authorization Code Feature
On the "Account Security" page, find Client Authorization Code — it defaults to "Off". Pick Enable from the dropdown:

A confirmation popup appears — click OK to enable:

2.3 Create the Code and Copy It
Once enabled, click the Add Authorization Code button:

Enter a purpose label for the code (we suggest Laifaxin) → click OK → the system generates the code → copy it immediately:

Once the window closes you cannot retrieve it — only delete and create a new one. Paste it into Laifaxin right away, or save to a password manager first.
3. Bind in Laifaxin
Go to Laifaxin email account and add the 263 enterprise mailbox:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Email address | Full enterprise email, e.g. yourname@yourcompany.com |
| Password | Paste the Client Authorization Code (NOT the login password!) |
| IMAP server | imap.263.net · Port 993 · SSL |
| SMTP server | smtp.263.net · Port 465 · SSL |

Once verified, the mailbox status shows Normal — binding successful:

After binding, turn on mail sync + notifications (see Check New Emails).
Pitfall Summary
| Pitfall | Consequence | How to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Can't find the "Add Authorization Code" button | Can't generate the code | Complete step 2.2 Enable first, then "Add" |
| Binding with the 263 login password | Authentication failed | Must use the Client Authorization Code, not the login password |
| Closed popup without copying | Code lost (shown only once) | Go to "Account Security", delete the old one, add a new one |
| Wrong server / port | Send/receive fails | IMAP imap.263.net:993 / SMTP smtp.263.net:465, SSL |
| Using enterprise mailbox for bulk sending | Company domain goes to spam, hurts the whole org | Use a quality channel for bulk; reserve the enterprise mailbox for 1-on-1 |
FAQ
Q1 · Why use a Client Authorization Code instead of the mailbox password?
This is a security enhancement:
- Doesn't expose your main login password to third-party apps, reducing leak risk
- You can revoke a single client's authorization anytime without affecting the main account or other apps
- Even if the code leaks, the attacker still can't log in to the web UI or change account settings
Q2 · Where do I enable the Client Authorization Code? Why can't I find it?
263's Client Authorization Code is off by default, and setup has two parts:
| Step | Where |
|---|---|
| 1. Enable the feature | Web UI → avatar → Settings → Account Security → Client Authorization Code → dropdown choose Enable |
| 2. Add a code | Once enabled, the Add Authorization Code button appears |
→ If you haven't enabled the feature, there's no "Add" entry — this is the most common rookie blocker.
Q3 · What if I forget / lose the code?
It cannot be recovered. Delete the old, create a new:
- Log in to the 263 web UI → Account Security → Client Authorization Code
- Delete the old code entry
- Click Add Authorization Code to generate a new one → re-bind in Laifaxin
Q4 · Do I need the admin to configure 263 Enterprise Mail?
Usually not. 263's Client Authorization Code is enabled and added by each user in their own web UI, no admin dependency.
→ As long as you can log in to your 263 web mailbox, you can complete the entire setup yourself.
Q5 · Is 263 Enterprise Mail suitable for foreign trade?
Among Chinese enterprise mailboxes, more recommended. 263 boasts many overseas server nodes, making international email send/receive more stable than typical Chinese mailboxes — a decent fit for foreign trade.
But bulk sending should still go through a quality channel — sending bulk directly from the enterprise mailbox damages the company domain reputation.
Q6 · How many emails can I send per day with 263? How to warm up?
The daily send limit varies by plan; don't run outreach at the cap:
| Stage | Daily send | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 (newly bound) | Start at 50 | 5–10 min interval |
| Weeks 2–4 | 100–200 | Watch bounce rate (keep ≤ 3%) |
| Stable phase | Up to 300 | Bulk sends via quality channel |
Learning Suggestions
| Stage | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Enable the feature first | "Account Security → Client Authorization Code → Enable" — the easiest step to miss |
| One client, one code + label it | Each client gets its own code with a clear name (e.g. Laifaxin / iPhone Mail) |
| Review periodically | Log in to the web UI regularly and delete codes no longer in use |
| Use Laifaxin features | After binding, explore Email Tracking / Templates / Smart Follow-up |
| Use a quality channel for bulk | For mass sends, don't send directly from the enterprise mailbox — use the quality channel |
