Save Contacts: How to Store Targeted Leads
This continues from Deep Dive 2 ยท How to Filter Imprecise Leads ยท AI Lead Scoring. After AI Screening surfaces the right data, follow the steps below to import it + tag it well โ that's what makes "send email blasts by audience" possible later.
Core goal: Make sure your prospects are stored with precise categorization.
Many new users worry: "Will batch-saving charge me twice for the same email?" Relax: no matter which search tool you use or how many batches you save in, the system auto-dedups โ each email is charged only once for life. Even if you delete and re-save, no extra charge applies. Operate freely!
How should I save?โ
Saving essentials: Find the save panel โ Fill in save settings โ Tag while saving
Saving modes: One-click select-all save / Custom batch save / Manual + AI combo save
โถ๏ธ Click the video below or follow the doc walkthrough โ a few minutes will get you fluent on every saving detail:

1. Save settingsโ
Once you've confirmed the count of targeted leads, move to the save step. You'll need to understand the save settings ๐
1. What to setโ
For new users, we recommend these defaults when saving contacts:
| Setting | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Company tag | Name by audience, e.g. Water sports retailers |
| Contact tag | Keep the same as company tag |
| Email type | Valid, Unknown |
| Save count | 5 |
| Advanced options | New users can leave as-is |
Example: After sampling, the first 194 pages look very precise โ how do you save these 194 pages?
- โ In the search results, randomly check any 1 customer
- โก Click the Advanced dropdown at the top-left of the result list
- โข In "Select top [200] rows", change
200to1940 - โฃ Click Save Contacts
The 200 / 1940 here limits total rows to save โ not page numbers!
Each page holds 10 rows โ 194 pages ร 10 = 1940 contacts.

Full settings demo below:

When setting tags, choose "Ignore new tags" โ This prevents one email from getting stacked with multiple tags, which causes over-marketing.
2. Setting focus: tag while savingโ
Saving without tagging is like dumping every file on your desktop โ when it's time to send emails, you can't find anyone. Set the same tag for company and contact for unified management.
Recommended tag formula: language - country - product/industry - supply-chain role
- Country-specific style:
language - country - product/industry - supply-chain roleExample:Italian - Italy - promotional gifts - distributor - Country-agnostic style:
language - product/industry - supply-chain roleExample:English - promotional gifts - distributor
Tip: Tags are for your own eyes. If audience names get too long, abbreviate however you like โ as long as you understand. When not splitting by country, language defaults to English.
Why this ordering? Language comes first so you can quickly filter templates by language (e.g. all "German" customers share the same German cold-email template). Country comes next, useful for timezone and holiday-based campaigns. Product and role come last because these dimensions are better for "audience segmentation" than for first-pass filtering.
The image below compares: same audience, with vs. without country segmentation in tags:

More tag examples:
| # | Your business | Customer segment | Recommended tag |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1๏ธโฃ | CNC machining | German auto factories | German - Germany - auto parts - factory |
| 2๏ธโฃ | Inflatable kayaks | US water-sports distributors | English - USA - inflatable kayaks - distributor |
| 3๏ธโฃ | Engineering equipment | Brazilian engineering importers | Portuguese - Brazil - engineering equipment - importer |
Benefits of tagging this way:
- Precise sending: See
Germantag โ know to use the German email template - Market segmentation: Want to send holiday greetings to all US customers? Filter tags containing
USA - Content customization: Want to push new agency policies to all
distributoraccounts? Filter thedistributortag

2. Saving modes: single select-all vs. batch saveโ
When the precise dataset is large, here are common saving modes ๐ Pick what fits your case.
Saving strategy diagram:

๐ข Scenario 1: select-all single saveโ
When to use: Database precision โฅ 80%, or AI score โฅ 60.
Go straight from the database view or batch scoring task view โ select all โ save.
- Save all from the database view:

- Save all from the Batch Scoring Task view:

๐ก Scenario 2: batch saveโ
Operation logic: First save top 200 โ second save top 200โ600 โ and so on. Click Advanced to customize the count.
The system saves in the order shown on screen, auto-dedups, and doesn't support skipping pages. To save targeted data in batches, wait for the previous batch to finish before starting the next.
Walkthrough:
โ First save: Check any one customer, click Advanced in the top-left, enter 200 in "Select top [] rows".

โก Second save: After the first save completes, click Advanced, enter 600.
The system saves in order and auto-dedups. When you enter 600, it auto-skips the first 200 already saved, actually saving rows 201โ600.

Same idea for batch saving from the batch scoring task view: click Results, choose โฅ 60 score, customize each batch's save count.

๐ Scenario 3: manual filter + AI combo (advanced)โ
Beginners should run Scenario 1 or 2 first, then try the combo.
Demo case: Process the first 2,800 rows โ manually filter the first 1,940 precise rows, then AI Lead Scoring on rows 1941โ2800.
Step 1: manually filter the front segmentโ
Preview shows the first 194 pages are precise โ directly save the first 1,940 rows in one shot.
Calculation: 10 rows per page by default, 194 ร 10 = 1,940.

Steps: check any company โ click Advanced โ enter 1940 โ click Save Contacts โ fill in the modal and save.

Step 2: AI score the tailโ
Starting at page 195, data quality drops. Wait for the previous save to finish, then create an AI Lead Scoring task.

Steps: check any company โ enter 2800 in Advanced โ click AI Lead Scoring in the top-right.

AI scoring uses your Product Profile: fill in your own product, not the customer's product (you can edit it later under Settings โ Product Profile).

Step 3: save the scored resultsโ
After scoring, check "Saved / Blacklisted / Already Evaluated" to exclude processed leads, then save only customers scoring โฅ 60.
Steps: open Batch Scoring Task โ find Results.

Enter the batch scoring task results, filter customers โฅ 60 and save:

Saving pitfalls to avoidโ
| Pitfall | Consequence | How to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| ๐ด No tag at save | Can't find this batch when sending emails later | Tag while saving, keep company tag = contact tag |
| ๐ก Didn't pick "Ignore new tags" | One email stacks multiple tags โ over-marketing | Always check "Ignore new tags" in the save settings |
| ๐ก Worry about double-charging | Don't dare to batch | Auto-dedup applies โ re-saving never double-charges |
| ๐ก Start next batch before previous finishes | "Advanced" count math gets confused | Wait for previous batch to finish before next |
| ๐ก AI scoring filled with "customer's product" | AI scores skewed | Product Profile must be your own product |
Once precise data is saved, you can move into email marketing. What are the key points and watch-outs?
