💡 Compose Email · Send to Individual Customers (Not Mass Email)

Compose Email = sending an email individually to one or more specific customers, for targeted outreach or single-customer follow-up. Up to 20 recipients per send, with CC / BCC / Send Separately / email tracking / scheduled send.

💡 One Line to Tell Them Apart
  • Compose Email = precision communication to specific people (1 ~ 20 recipients · manually enter mailboxes · supports CC/BCC)
  • Mass Email = large-scale outreach by tag / view (no recipient limit · whole-segment delivery)

→ For a detailed comparison see Q1 · Compose vs Mass Email below

You can reach the Compose interface from 6 scenarios 👇

Email main interface · Compose button: top-left "Compose" button; click to open the new email editor

Entry ② · Contacts List · Hover Over Mailbox

Path: Contacts → hover over an email address → 【Compose】 button

❗ Up to 20 Recipients Per Send

"Send" and "Mass Send" are two different features:

  • Send (Compose Email) — up to 20 people, specific recipients
  • Mass Send — batch by tag / view, no 20-person cap

For large-scale outreach, use 📚 Mass Email.

Contacts list · Bulk-send after ticking customers: ticking 5 customers reveals top "Send" button (≠ "Mass Send", up to 20 people)

Entry ⑤ · Search Results Page · Compose Email

Path: Company Domain Search → mailbox in customer details → 【Compose Email】 (the system auto-saves the mailbox and opens the editor)

Domain search results · Compose Email button next to mailbox: each mailbox in the customer details has a "Compose Email" shortcut to its right

Entry ⑥ · Mass Email Task Details · Send Email

Path: Mass Email → enter a task's details → click a mailbox / tick customers → 【Send Email】

Mass task details · Send Email button: in the task details list, click a mailbox or tick customers, then "Send Email"

2. Recipients · CC · BCC · Send Separately

1. Add Recipients

  • Supports multiple: enter several customer emails at once, up to 20
  • Smart suggestions: when you type a keyword, the system auto-suggests from Contacts

Compose dialog · Recipient smart suggestions: typing a keyword shows a dropdown of matching contacts (name + email + company)

2. CC · BCC

📧 CC: copy the email to other relevant people (e.g. CC your manager when contacting a customer).

ActionSteps
Enable CCClick 【CC】 to the right of the recipient field; a new CC row appears
Enter mailboxType the email addresses to CC
Cancel CCClick 【Cancel CC】 on the right; the CC row disappears

Compose dialog · CC setup: new "CC" field added below recipient + "Cancel CC" button on the right

🔒 BCC: similar to CC but more private — BCC recipients can see To / CC recipients but cannot see other BCC recipients; To / CC recipients cannot see BCC addresses.

Compose dialog · BCC setup: enable "BCC" below CC; BCC recipients invisible to others

3. Send Separately · Each Recipient Gets Their Own

Send Separately is a super-useful feature — it makes each recipient feel that the email is written just for them; they can't see other recipients.

ActionSteps
EnableClick the 【Send Separately】 button
CancelClick the 【Cancel Send Separately】 button

Compose dialog · Send Separately toggle: "Send Separately" button at the bottom; once enabled, each recipient receives their own copy and can't see others

💡 Best Use of Send Separately

When you want to send similar content (e.g. new product notice) to several customers without letting them know about each other → Send Separately = the best choice.

💡 Best Use of Scheduled Send
  • 🇺🇸 US customers → schedule for Beijing time 12 PM (≈ US West early morning; they see it in the morning)
  • 🇪🇺 European customers → schedule for Beijing time 3 ~ 5 PM (≈ Europe morning 8 ~ 10 AM)
  • 📅 Monday to Friday works best; weekends are weak
