Walk you through binding your work mailbox, then sending your first new email to a saved contact, and successfully enabling email tracking!
1. Bind Your Work Mailboxโ
So that customers see your familiar work mailbox address when they receive your email, we first need to bind your mailbox to Laifaxin.

Open mailbox account management:
- After logging in, click Settings > Mailbox Accounts in the left navigation.
- Or go directly to: https://web.laifaxin.com/settings/accounts

Start binding:
- On the "Mailbox Accounts" page, click ใ+ Newใ in the top right.

Fill in mailbox info and configure:
- Email and password: enter your work email address and login password or app password / authorization code.
- Very important: Many providers (Gmail, Outlook, QQ, 163, etc.) require an app password (not the login password) when signing in from third-party platforms.

- Incoming/outgoing servers: The system usually auto-fills server info for mainstream providers. If not, click ใServer Configurationใ to enter IMAP and SMTP server details manually.

- Email and password: enter your work email address and login password or app password / authorization code.

Verify and save:
- Click ใVerify and Saveใ. If everything is correct, you'll see "Account added successfully" โ your mailbox is bound!

2. Send Your First Trackable Emailโ
With the mailbox bound, you're ready to send!

Find the contact:
- Go to Customer Management > Contacts and find your target contact.

Compose a new email:
- Hover over the contact's email address and click the envelope โ๏ธ ใSend Emailใ icon.

Write the email content:
- Recipient and sender mailbox will be auto-filled.
- Write a clear subject and simple body.

Enable email tracking:
- At the bottom of the email composer, be sure to check the ใโ๏ธ Email Trackingใ option.
- Why enable tracking? So you can know whether your customer opened your email, how many times, and when and where โ invaluable for gauging intent and timing your follow-up.

Send the email:
- Review and click ใSendใ in the bottom right.
3. Check Tracking Statusโ
After sending, find your email in Email > Sent and watch its tracking status:
- Gray eye ๐: email was sent but not yet read.
- Green eye ๐๏ธโ๐จ๏ธ with a number: congrats โ the recipient opened your email, with the number showing the open count.

โ Why must I use an "app password" instead of my login password?
- A: It's a security mechanism. Using an app password avoids exposing your real login password in third-party apps. Even if the app password leaks, you can disable it anytime without affecting your main account.

โ What's the most common reason mailbox binding fails?
- A: Most common reasons: 1) wrong password / app password; 2) IMAP/SMTP not enabled in your mailbox provider; 3) wrong server address or port. Check them one by one.

โ Why can't I see tracking status after enabling tracking?
- A: Email tracking works by embedding a 1-pixel transparent image in the email. If the recipient's client blocks image loading, or they read emails in plain text mode, tracking may not work.

- โ Polish sender info: In Mailbox Accounts settings, make sure your "From Name" is a professional English name or brand name โ this builds trust.
- โ Set up a professional signature: Before sending your first email, create a professional signature with your contact info in ๐Email Signature and set it as default.
- โ Don't mass send right away: After binding a new mailbox, spend a few days sending small volumes manually one-to-one. Normal conversations with customers help "warm up" the mailbox and improve later mass send deliverability.
